Stakeholder audiences, message types, delivery frequencies, and delivery methods are summarized in API RP 1162 §2.8 in Tables 2-1 through 2-3. Pipeline operators are divided into 3 categories:
- Hazardous Liquid and Gas Transmission
- Gas Distribution
- Gathering (both gas and liquid)
All pipeline operators share the four primary stakeholder audiences included in this lesson. Examples for each of these primary audiences, as well as several other audiences are included in API RP 1162 §3.1.
