Training, outreach, and information dissemination are important aspects of PHMSA's approach to safety assurance.  Throughout the year, PHMSA hosts numerous public meetings and training opportunities covering a wide variety of topics concerning pipeline and hazardous materials safety.  These events are free and often times are open to anyone interested in learning more about how to safely handle hazardous products and DOT's regulations governing pipelines and hazardous materials safety.
