The Rejection Letter is generated when the applicant fails to complete or meet the application requirements during the evaluation process. Please refer to 49 CFR Section 107.705. 

The Denial Letter is generated when the applicant fails to meet the standards of the DOT regulations during the evaluation process. The applicant is then duly noted as unfit to mark, manufacture, and/or requalify cylinders in accordance with the 49 CFR.
